It's been about two months since my last West Coast Lager (WCL). With the temperature rising so rapidly, this style is absolutely perfect. I used the same amplifier again for this one, which I also used for the Hazy Pale Ale. It's based on Mosaic, but the crisp aroma from the other amplifiers is well-balanced, making it a great hop for WCL. Bitterness is always a key factor, but this time I set it a little lower. While the finished product is bitter, it has a pleasant, mellow flavor that I think is just right. This beer is perfect for both sweltering heat and a meal. The beautiful, see-through golden body delivers the expected crispness and dank presence. The taste is glassy with a lemonade-like sweetness.
