After being asked to brew what can only be described as a medically irresponsible amount of Fluoro Sours, Ross was seen wildly gesturing at hop contracts while muttering “more” under his breath. Soon after, Ross descended into a full hop-fuelled delirium. A rare and little-understood condition known (by him) as Advanced West Coast Syndrome. He became convinced the only cure was to brew the most aggressively over-the-top Triple Westie imaginable and use what appears to have been the entire quarter’s hop budget in the process.

Rakau, Strata, Trident Salvo, Simcoe Dynaboost, NZH-106, Cryo Simcoe, Amplifire Riwaka, more Strata, Amplifire Riwaka Hop Oil, and Strata Hyperboost! All hurled into the kettle and fermenter with the urgency of a man who accounts claim should absolutely not be left unsupervised. The truly unsettling part? It works.

A lean but sturdy backbone of Munich malt and locally regen grown Pilsner malt from Tolga Farm holds the line just long enough for the hops to stage a full-scale rampage. It’s sharp, bitter, resinous, and glorious.
