Extra Pale Ale | 330ml | ABV 5.5%
The first new product of the year of the snake is a hoppy one that you can drink as much as you want. In fact, I brewed it with the image of "orange" in mind, with the intention of making a clean West Coast IPA. This is the first new product in our 21st anniversary, and it is our beer of the year of the snake. I want to live in the year of the snake, where we drink it whole, boldly and cheerfully, regardless of small things or unpleasant things.
I guess not many people understand the phrase "Orange Snake Come On". After all, it was originally brewed with the intention of making an IPA, so it is quite hoppy with the combination of the generous use of American and New Zealand hops and our own grown Cascade. I think it would have been fine to just call it "IPA" and it would sell better that way, but after drinking it, I decided to go with "Extra Pale Ale".
The taste is really orange. It has a fresh and juicy citrus feeling like Valencia orange or Iyokan. It is sweet, but there is also a hint of refreshing citrus acidity. It's not the kind of orange that reminds you of gummy candy that you get in hazy IPAs, but a fresh orange flavour expressed only by hops. Can you tell? The bitterness is modest for ours. You can feel the clean malt base, but the finish is still dry.
I think it's become one that you can drink as many times as you like. It's also a versatile beer that can be used with a wide range of meals, from the first half of the day to simple meat and fish dishes. "Pale ale" has become a boring genre that could be the least popular, but I wanted to dispel that image, so I made it an Extra Pale Ale.
